Stage:
Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
Cities like Skopje face challenges with food security, long supply chains, and access to nutritious produce. Meanwhile, climate threats and rising prices affect both availability and affordability. There is also limited awareness and access to smart, small-scale agricultural technologies.
The solution focuses on compact, tech-enabled food production in urban spaces through modular container farms. Using AI and smart monitoring, these units control temperature, lighting, and nutrients for year-round, sustainable growing. The farms target urban schools, municipalities, and community spaces to increase local food resilience and reduce environmental impact. With a focus on efficiency and scalability, the startup aims to improve access to healthy food, especially in under-resourced areas.
The project expects to improve food system sustainability and health outcomes by growing locally, using 90% less water than traditional methods. Each container farm can serve hundreds of people per cycle, supporting SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
