Scale-up & growth
Most industrial and maritime refrigeration systems in Ukraine still rely on Freon-based technologies that contribute to ozone depletion and long-term climate damage. These systems are environmentally harmful, increasingly regulated under international agreements, and misaligned with the transition toward low-emission, blue-economy solutions.
RMC develops and manufactures industrial and maritime cooling equipment that operates on the natural refrigerant R744 (CO₂) and is cooled using seawater. As the first Ukrainian producer of serial equipment using this technology, the company offers an eco-friendly alternative to Freon-based systems with minimal climate impact.
RMC’s solution supports the transition away from ozone-depleting substances, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and aligns Ukraine’s industrial refrigeration sector with international climate commitments. By localizing production of advanced cooling equipment, the company strengthens industrial resilience, creates skilled jobs, and contributes to the development of sustainable maritime and industrial infrastructure.
