Join us for our BOOST Talks series: Google for startups in the region of digital challengers

Our fourth BOOST Talks webinar will dive into Central and Eastern Europe’s digital path led by Google. These monthly meet-ups are part of BOOST, a UNDP-led initiative that uses social innovation to tackle Covid-19 challenges in the Europe and Central Asia region and beyond.

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has been a global humanitarian crisis that has upended lives and cast a shadow of uncertainty over the future. There is one thing, however, we can be sure about: the world that emerges from the pandemic— or, as we call it, the next normal—will be more digital than today. During the pandemic, the way people interact, work, travel, spend their leisure time, use public services and perform other routine activities has shifted dramatically. According to the 2020 McKinsey report, new ways of operating and accelerating digital adoption will be crucial to weathering the crisis and ensuring long-term growth.

In this edition of BOOST Talks, we will be joined by Michał Kramarz, Head of Google for Startups in Central & Eastern Europe. Michal has been in the internet industry since 2004 and joined Google in 2006 as one of the first employees in Poland. Between 2015- 2019 he provided support to Polish startups in their global expansion. Michal will explore how the acceleration of creating a digital, tech-driven economy could be the key to post-pandemic growth and how Google supports startups in the Central and Eastern Europe region.
