BOOST presents its program to the North Macedonia startup community

From climate change to poverty, can entrepreneurs help us overcome the world’s greatest challenges and help accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals? UNDP certainly thinks so!

Globally and in the region, UNDP is supporting entrepreneurs seeking to make an impact in developing and scaling their startups through a selection of mentorship, booting and acceleration programs.

BOOST, UNDP’s regional acceleration program in Europe and Central Asia, is among the three key programs, including Accelerate2030 and ImpactAim Accelerator, that will be presented during a webinar for the North Macedonia startup community, seeking to scale their impact outside the country:

  • Angela Mitrinovska (Seavus Accelerator) and Ljupka Mitrinovska (Impact Hub) will share their experience of implementing the first national pilot of UNDP’s global Accelerate2030 program, the future prospects of the startups that completed it and future opportunities for startups in the country to join the next program cycle.
  • Rikard Sjöstrand (UNDP) will talk about the work of BOOST, a UNDP program that aims to fast-track innovative solutions that tackle urgent challenges, such as promoting low-touch economies, digitalization, and wellbeing that will help us to reimagine a more sustainable future after Covid-19.
  • Tatevik Markosyan (UNDP) will share the experience of the first impact venture accelerator in Armenia designed to leverage the unique global network and expertise of UNDP to scale up the impact of ventures targeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
