BOOST Talks | The power of open innovation for social impact

Join our BOOST Talks on the power of open innovation to drive social impact. The webinar is part of a series organized by BOOST, a UNDP-led acceleration programme for impact innovation in Europe and Central Asia and beyond, financed and supported by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and Koç Holding. BOOST Talks is a space where we explore different aspects of innovation for accelerating the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The talk will be led by Pinar Köse Kulacz, currently Innovation Director at Arçelik, a multinational household appliances manufacturer. She will explore what open innovation means and how working in a more distributed, decentralized, and participatory way can unlock hidden potential in sustainable development. Pinar will share some of the ways they practice open innovation at Arçelik, such as their annual Hack the Normal initiative, a three-day hackathon to encourage unique ideas and build practical solutions around climate change, water management, and circular economy. In addition, you’ll get to hear about the behind the scenes of innovation practices at Arçelik, including how they harness data or emerging technologies such as AI.

The webinar will be in English and is open to the public. Registration for the event is necessary.
