Earlier this year, BOOST launched BOOST Unplugged, a series of online webinars featuring engaging discussions with BOOST alumni and innovation ecosystem players. The inaugural trio of sessions delved into topics such as innovating business models, navigating fundraising strategies, and effectively measuring and managing impact.
Kicking off the series was “Post-Acceleration: What’s Next?” in January. Lenka Hlinkova, founder of Female Algorithm and a BOOST alumna, led the conversation, sharing insights into her organization’s mission of empowering women and girls in technology and management. Lenka’s recent transition from CEO to driving business growth through social and technical innovation underscored the significance of adaptability in leadership within impact-oriented enterprises.
“Funding Frontiers: How to Raise Early-Stage Funding as an Impact Venture” took place in February, and featured Jasna Pejović, CEO of Flourish and a BOOST alumna, and Vahagn Voskanyan, Venture Partner and Co-Founder of ArmTech Impact VC. The two panelists provided a comprehensive overview of the strategies, challenges, and unique considerations faced by startups in emerging markets as they seek initial capital investment.
In March, the spotlight was on “Strategies for Impact,” where Mathias F. Apovo, CEO of Blue Diamond Leading Solutions and a Tadamon alumna, joined Briseida Gjoza, CEO of ConsciESG and a BOOST alumna. Together, they discussed the significance and effective approaches to crafting organizational initiatives that align with the SDGs and maximize impact.
As a part of the broader BOOST Alumni Network, BOOST Unplugged stands as a post-acceleration initiative tailored to offer business guidance and foster continuous learning opportunities for alumni of the BOOST and Tadamon acceleration programs.
