The challenge

Menopause is a natural life stage of every woman; however, how it is experienced is highly affected by perception, awareness, and availability of supporting mechanisms. Women’s misinformation and negative perceptions and attitudes toward menopause and supporting treatments may deepen their complaints during this period. There are limited existing resources with a right-based and gender equality perspective in Turkey to support women to ease their menopause experience. It is necessary to provide a platform where they can share experiences and knowledge with other women, receive consultations and get informed about coping mechanisms.

The solution

To improve life quality during menopause and support women, we aim to create a platform that will raise awareness about perimenopause and the menopause period itself. The platform will serve as a support mechanism and provide information on problems and life changes that women may experience and things that should (not) be done during this period.
