Following the success of our BOOST Unplugged chat series, BOOST, powered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is announcing the launch of the PitchBack sessions. The format aims to empower impact-driven ventures by refining their fundraising skills and preparing them for the competitive landscape of pre-seed and seed funding rounds.
The BOOST PitchBack sessions are designed to foster a community of like-minded individuals by creating a supportive environment where investment-ready impact ventures can pitch their ideas and receive honest, constructive feedback from seasoned investors and industry experts. These sessions are co-organized with our partner SocialTech Lab, focused on building peacetech innovations to empower entrepreneurship in fragile contexts.
The PitchBack sessions target impact ventures and civil society organizations (CSOs) from BOOST and partner acceleration programs actively seeking pre-seed and seed funding opportunities. To ensure only high-caliber ventures participate, BOOST implements a rigorous selection process.
Each session features four 3-minute pitches where pre-selected impact ventures present their solutions, business plans and impact strategies. The panelists include impact investors, industry experts, and business mentors from BOOST’s extensive network. By facilitating direct access to a network of experienced professionals, the series aims to provide targeted advice and fundraising strategies that can propel these ventures toward success.
The pitches are followed by a short Q&A session where expert panelists and the audience engage directly with the presenters, offer invaluable insights and feedback to help ventures refine their strategy. At the end of all pitches, the audience votes for the best pitches across pre-defined categories.
The BOOST PitchBack series is not just about pitching and feedback; it’s about creating a robust ecosystem for impact-driven ventures. By partnering with other UNDP programs, external business support initiatives, and investors, BOOST aims to strengthen the overall impact business ecosystem.
